The Infopool working group was founded during the 2007 TCeurope AGM, originally with the objective of producing a brochure aimed at aspiring technical communicators and based on the TecDocNet guideline. Later that year, this original objective was modified, as a single brochure could not meet the needs of all member organizations and would soon become obsolete.
The 2004 SecureDoc Project resulted in a publication providing practical guidelines to help manufacturers and service providers produce user-friendly instruction manuals for consumer goods. This publication, although no longer completely up-to-date, can be purchased from any of TCurope's member organizations, usually at a small fee. Translations in many languages are available. Contact the member organization in your language area for further information.
The 2005 TecDocNet project was aimed at providing an inventory of routes to professional education and training of technical communicators in Europe. It was realised with the support of the Commission of the European Communities under the Leonardo da Vinci programme. The content does not necesarily reflect the Commission’s position on this subject.
